    1. Op is doing it wrong, once you take the battery saver option off and delete the Toyota app then the gains start coming in

That’s my get rich strat that I was about to try this week. What were you trading?

    3. I’m sorry m8, but 1% compounding daily is simply not possible for an extended period of time. 1% compounded daily for 365 days is like 38x your initial investment. So to reword your title, “Trying to 38x my account in a year, resulted in this”. See how ridiculous that sounds?

Just do the opposite of what you think is the right thing.

For those of us old enough, this is known as the George Costanza strategy.

    5. Just a consistent 1% return every single day? What, you couldn’t even become the greatest investor who ever lived? Sad.

    6. I have a theory that if before opening you look at the stocks with the highest pre-market rises, watch to see which ones don’t drop during the first 10 min, buy some of each of the large overnight gainers, and sell if/when they start to drop, you’ll be ahead more than 1% of what you put in each day.

As for 1% of your holdings over time, that is much harder to judge as there are always those days after slow steady climbs across the board, where you have a dramatic drop across the board wiping out those profits.
