Long time listener first time caller. I've been struggling setting up a spare laptop I have to run bitcoincore on ubuntu. Every tutorial ends up leaving me stranded with an error at the sudo install command. Apparently there is no such thing as a file called "Install BitcoinCore" which you double click and it does the things. :/ like the windows lol

SO far this is what I've done.

Installed latest version of Ubuntu on spare laptop (2Ghz CPU, 1tbSSD, 8GB RAM, unlimited internet connection with 11Mb upload speeds)

I updated and upgraded the libraries with apt command as per the bitcoincore website.

Downloaded the linux tgz 64bit bitcoin core download file

Double clicked and it extracted itself to a folder

When it comes to installing the bitcoin binaries core node I never get past this step.

Website and tutorials give me this command to enter in terminal: sudo install -m 0755 -o root -g root -t usr/local/bin/bitcoin-28.0/bin/*

When I enter this command from the root directory it asks for my password, which I enter and then it says "install: cannot stat 'bitcoin-28.0/bin/*': No such file or directory"

When I enter the command from the bitcoin28.0/bin/ directory I get this error "install: missing file operand"

No bueno. I've been at this all day and am losing my marbles. LIttle help here folks?!
