MSFT has been through this multiple times. They know the dance. I don’t think any of the other companies kinda touch every aspect of your life like MSFT and they were able to avoid drastic antitrust actions by diversifying into the behemoth that they are now. I would be more worried about Google, META and Apple as their businesses are so concentrated in one area rather than microsoft these days.

Microsoft already went through something like this with Edge. And as of right now, when you go to Edge for the first time, it would ask you what browser you want to use.

china style? China attacked tech companies and they are still slumping since

    4. They’re all being investigated but there has been no action, however, if DoJ or EU regulators manage to break up one of these companies, they’re coming after all of them!

    5. i mean objectively google is way more of a monopoly than those other companies

also you didnt even list the next biggest offender, amazon

    6. This is a pretty naive take which is understandable if you don’t really follow tech and but google has been much more evil in monopolizing search advertising to say nothing of chrome. The others just dominate their spaces more naturally for the most part.

This actually seems bullish for Google.  They now have an easy narrative to spin off cloud, YouTube, waymo, etc.

I agree. But google in particular is just a data processing machine at this point.
