Will a job offer letter suffice on VA loan approval after 3 years of not working?

Hi all,

I am currently a SAHM and will be returning to work in the exact same line of work with the exact title as my previous 4 years of work history, 3 years from now. My husband also works full time. I am wondering if an offer letter at a new job will in fact suffice for VA home loan approval after not working for so long? Or even 1 year of work history? Or will I have to stick it out 2 whole years of new work history before applying for a loan? Thank you in advance.
