I was planning on getting the platinum with the 175k sub as my next card but with the CSP 100k bonus going on I am kind of tempted to wait and get the CSP instead. I already have the amex gold card and wanted to pair it with the platinum and know that it doesn't really make sense to get the CSP because it is pretty much just a worse gold card since gold is 4x dining/groceries where CSP is 3x. I do need a travel card but I feel like waiting a little longer to get the 100k CSP might also be worth it. I wouldn't even mind keeping the CSP to have a visa on hand where amex isn't accepted or just downgrade the CSP to freedom flex or something in a year. The question is do a do CSP 100k SUB first since it isn't always running and then just get the platinum later in the year since there is usually a way to always get the 175k SUB pop up? The spend amount to get the bonus wont be an issue at all for either card.

Get the CSP first since it is all time high and the last time 100k was available was about 4 years ago. Amex Plat 175k is almost always available (and even when it isn’t, 150k is).
Amex Plat and CSP combo is awesome and you are right that it is good to have a VISA (non amex) card with no FTF for international travel
Does anyone know how long this CSP 100k SUB will last for? Any data points from 4 years ago last time we saw it?
You should eventually get both. If you are under 5/24, prioritize any Chase apps first. CSP is @ ATH @ 100K. Wait a week or two to see if referrals update to 100K if you have friend/fam with a Sapphire.
Amex plat has been at 175k for many months now. It’s rare to see CSP at 100k. For that reason, it would be silly to prioritize the Platinum over the CSP
