Good News For Pakistan about Oil and Gas | ExxonMobil Succeed in Arabian Sea Offshore Drilling Project.
There is a good news for Pakistan about Oil and Gas Sector.
Recently offshore drilling start in the Arabian Sea of Pakistan.
In Islamabad Prime Minister Imran Khan Announced that that Pakistani nation will hear good news from him within three weeks of time.
He said the offshore drilling for oil and gas in the Arabian Sea was in final stages and there could be a major find.
“I implore that we all pray that Pakistan gets this natural resource in substantial quantity.”
Actually two companies began drilling Kekra-1 well in the Indus-G block on January 11, 2019, which is located 280 km from the Karachi coast.
In the report Eni said that
“Eni Pakistan has estimated nine trillion cubic feet of gas deposits in this offshore well.”
And ExxonMobil also expected the discovery of oil deposits there.
They undertook the task to drill around 5800 meter deep well in the sea for 60 days. For the purpose, they brought one major drilling ship, three supply vessels and two helicopters at the site.
If the oil deposit are discovered as expected. Pakistan will be among the top 10 oil producing countries ahead of Kuwait in 6th position.
