sorry lark but proof of stake is not decentralized. eth is not decentralized. everyone can run a node. miners can not change the rules. if u stake u give your rights to the stakingpool. i don t care about eth anymore but i also ok with it when people want to invest in it. don t care

meanwhile, nobody is more decentralized than Decred
and Decred is 10x more secure than bitcoin because you need to own a TON of coin AND hashrate. So even if the hashrate on DCR is a mere fraction of btc's.. it is still, in it's worst day 10x more secure. Now if the hashrate goes up, this security goes up exponentially.
Currently, though, It is IMPOSSIBLE TO ATTACK DECRED. Why? Not enough coins on the open market. so even if the US government or some major whale tried to buy up all of the DCR they could get hold of on all of the exchanges.. impossible to attack still.. and the price would raise astronomically, making DCR's price dwarf BTC.
