Israel is planning to build a new canal as an alternative to Suez Canal. The project is called Ben Gurion Canal. First initiatives to establish a new canal through Gulf of Aqaba came into agenda during the 1960s but due to many reasons it wasn’t realized. Today, Israel seeks options to strengthen its regional power. New canal project is also part of this situation. Is it possible to establish a new canal against Suez Canal?
