I am an active duty contract going to OCS soon who has never been in the military before. I am not married and have no dependents, but I have a mortgage. My office says that I will/am supposed to receive BAH while at OCS, but everywhere I read states that I am not supposed to get it, but my office insists that I am supposed to. Is this correct, or is the office making a mistake?

Without dependents I think you are unlikely to receive BAH at OCS.
The military does not care that you have a mortgage. If you are unmarried and have no dependents, then you will not get BAH at OCS or TBS.
You’re not getting BAH at OCS or TBS. Better get some renters bud
You would only get bah as a single person if you were receiving bah before you went to OCS. For example some military designators like the NUPOC program for navy nuclear SWOs get BAH while in college so you would continue to receive that in OCS. But for you not so much unfortunately
