I'm currently stationed in Georgia, but have Florida license and tags from my last command. Do I have to get Georgia license and register my car in Georgia or can I just renew my tags in Florida? I'm at Kings Bay and right over the line from Jacksonville. So not a problem to drive to the Tag office in Florida.

Are you a FL resident? If so you can maintain your registration there, otherwise you’ll likely need to change to GA or where ever your legal residence is.

you can renew through the mail with florida tags. Ive been rocking my FL tags since i joined and havent lived in state for nearly 4 years. Insurance is where it gets weird. some states have exceptions for military members and others force you to insure in the state youre living in.
