Several weeks ago, my Tesla was involved in an accident where it hit a series of potholes really hard due to avoiding chains on the highway. The damages were left tire/rim/control arms/ air bag/ axle etc. on the driver side front of the car. After the repairs paid for by insurance, I drove the car at night and the driver side headlight is pointed down , shop took a look and said they aren’t able to adjust the light because the thing to adjust it is not working and broken. Insurance refused to pay for a headlight saying it couldn’t have been caused by the accident. How do I go about this??

Insurance won’t pay for damage caused by accident

    1. Shop needs to make the case to your insurer that the damage was the result of the potholes

Why weren’t you driving your Tesla to avoid these potholes?

It appears you relied completely on technology

Regardless, you have to prove to your insurer how your headlight was affected by a pothole
