Hey guys,

My Infiniti Q50 (Pretty much brand new <25k Miles (2020) was stolen last week off the street and immediately I filed a police report and was able to file an insurance claim. Fast forward to now, I get a call from a nearby police station detective telling me that my car had been used in a crime, specifically a drive-by shooting but no homicide actually occurred.

Because of that, the police were able to collect the evidence they needed and processed my vehicle out and thats when I got the call from the detective letting me know what happened. There were a few things I know forsure were damaged: broken window (they replaced it also but shattered glass likely fell in the crevice where the window used to exist. They replaced it with some jank different tint window as well and that likely was a garage hack job.

In any case, my POV is that I do not want anything to do with this car especially because I don't want to be caught riding in that vehicle incase someone wants retaliation or whatever. I also found out that the car was towed so likely tow damage, and not sure what else but likely bumps and scratches on the car. Not only that, the car has been reported stolen and used in a crime which is going to destroy my title.

Without going into the host of issues that arise from this, what options do I have to respond to insurance for them to total the car or pay me out for whatever it's worth?
