AI is simply a tool that can be used in a product to help a customer achieve a goal or solve a problem.

It's not an inherent selling point. Customers don't care what technology you're using, they don't care if it's generative AI, large language models, machine learning or simple logical code.

Stop describing your idea/product by saying it uses AI.

You wouldn't describe your SaaS as being a python driven product. So why describe your product as an AI solution.

That is of course unless you don't have a product and you're selling an 'idea' using buzzwords.

For the love of God AI isn’t a business plan

What??? You’re saying that my plan to use AI to power my drop shopping pressure washing vending machines isn’t a good plan?

    2. Yeah too many gurus peddling AI as some sort of new “business model” when 99% of them have no technical background or understanding at all

    3. # AI: A Powerful Tool, Not Just a Buzzword

The statement that AI isn’t a business plan is absolutely right. AI, by itself, doesn’t guarantee success. However, completely dismissing its value as a tool for building a strong business proposition misses the mark.

      Here’s why:

      * **AI Can Solve Real Problems:** While customers might not care about the specific technology, they do care about solutions that address their needs. If AI effectively tackles a pain point or offers a significant advantage, it becomes a compelling feature. Imagine a product that uses AI to personalize recommendations, automate tasks, or predict customer behavior – that’s a selling point, not just code.
      * **AI Can Differentiate Your Product:** In a crowded market, AI can be a powerful differentiator. If your product leverages AI to achieve superior results compared to traditional methods, it becomes a reason for customers to choose you.
      * **Transparency Matters:** The key lies in using AI strategically and transparently. Don’t rely solely on the “AI buzzword.” Clearly communicate the benefits it brings to the customer experience or problem-solving capabilities.

      **The Analogy:**

The comparison to a Python-driven product is apt. You wouldn’t solely focus on the coding language. But, if your Python code streamlines processes and offers superior performance, it becomes a relevant selling point as part of the overall solution.

      **The Bottom Line:**

AI is a powerful tool, and a well-crafted business plan should leverage its capabilities to create a product that solves real customer problems and offers a competitive edge. It’s about using AI as a means to an end, not the end itself.

A lot of subjectivity with this one.

Totally depends on how it is used.

      **I’ll provide a use-case:**

If I go into r/midjourney and let all of the AI adopters that they can use upload their “AI” designs to this [website](https://www.sexiesttattoo.com) and produce temporary tattoos, in which they will be printed and shipped, it’s a totally valuable reason to inclue the term AI.

You’re now targeting early adopters of AI, then breaking down the particular niche, which is tattoo art.

This was a *selling point* for the service.
