Kinda Depends on where you are living. I would think what ever made me enough money to be able to live comfortably AND be able to give back without “taking a hit” for lack of better words. For example, staying in a nice hotel and be able to leave $10 for the maid kinda thing.. that would make me feel like I’ve made it lol. Having enough to flourish by myself but also giving others a little “boost” along the way!

I put more focus on net profits but of course you need revenue to get the profits.

      Profit-wise, I’d feel pretty good at $40k/month.

My wife and I made sure that our bills are quite small.

Regardless of what I make with [my agency](https://www.24hour.design), if I can pay bills, put kids through school and sports, feed everyone, be happy, have transport and good health.

To me, my family’s health, is my wealth.

I know many people who have no desire to live simply like this. Which is sad :/

I’d say when I passed 30M in revenue and hit about 58 employees.

Avalara had just finished VAT and I was entering markets outside of America.
I got a contract with TQL on shipping and did my first acquisition.

Organic growth was several thousand percent and it was a great time. It was great to get revolvers, CAPEX and expand strategically with the capital.
Finally was full accrual basis and annually audited.

Finally had valuable equity and felt like decisions were showing impact

Honestly, dont even think about it at the moment. As far as I am enjoying what I do, its all good

    6. There’s something about $10M revenue for me. Revenuewise I’ll be quite satisfied and start to plan exit when I reach there (currently on $8M).

I looked at it from the following:

      1. When I received my full income, expenses and bonus
      2. When my staff was paid well above min wage
      3. When our creditors and resent were paid
      4. When we had a balance on our account to cover the next couple of payrolls
      5. When our clients were satisfied with our service
      6. When our scheduling started to push out 2-3 weeks.

      We made it.

$1M / yr was a big sigh of relief but we were still losing money.

$1M / mo 4 yrs later and I was beginning to feel we were going to be a success even if we had yet to have a profitable year but at least I was getting paid a reasonable salary.

$100M / yr was the target to sell and we passed that in yr 10.
