I work in an industry which we currently pay obscene amounts of money for leads.
I want to start my own site, to funnel the leads myself. This is just not at all my area of expertise, however I learn fast and process info quickly.
If you were going to try to do this, what would be your first few steps?
I already own a few domains which I feel I can use. The domains are similarly named as the ones which currently sell these same type of leads. But I can always think up new ones.
I’m not trying to cut out the middle man entirely, because we still will buy those leads no matter how many I can generate myself, but anything extra I can generate myself will help.
    Thanks.

Usually online lead generation is done using landing pages that offer free information in exchange for an email. You run ads to drive traffic to the landing page.

Starting your own lead generation site sounds like a great idea, especially since you’re already spending a lot on leads. Beyond using landing pages and ads, another powerful tool you might want to consider is leveraging social media to directly engage with potential leads.

ReplyAIBot, a Discord bot I recently came across, could be really useful for this. It monitors social media platforms like Reddit in real-time, filtering posts and comments based on keywords related to your industry to identify potential leads. This way, you can engage with users exactly when they express a need for your services. It can also generate AI-based responses to help you attract and convert users more effectively. This might just give you the edge to not only capture more leads but do so more efficiently.

Combining this with traditional landing pages and ads could vastly multiply your lead generation efforts. Good luck, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions!

I have similar ambitions for another industry. What I don’t understand is the payment model and what happens if there are multiple providers.

So let’s say I have a moving lead and there’s you and another mover who are both my clients.

Do you pay per lead with no guarantee of outcome? Do I round-robin the leads to client A, then client B, and back and forth? Do I offer the lead to both and whoever responds first gets it?
