I have a property that was in the middle of renovations. The interior was down to the sticks and insulation was removed, was being prepped for spray foam. A tree damaged the property significantly causing foundation damage and everything above the area to be rebuilt. Should insurance be covering the insulation and drywall and etc since code calls for it or does their coverage stop at the sticks and no insulation as it was like that during the damage?

Home had no insulation upon claim, code says insulation needed.

    1. Direct damage only. The insulation was already removed prior to the loss so it would not be part of the claim.
