If you don’t believe in yourself, why would anyone else?

If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.
When you struggle to keep your head above water, think back to some rat race job you had where you were 100% correct, but was shut down just *because*
This will invigorate your mindset and you will push through.

Henry Ford got dragged in front of a congressional committee and asked why he thought he was so smart that he could pull off mass production of his cars. He explained that from his desk he could immediately summon the best engineers, the best lawyers, the best accountants, etc. (I’m paraphrasing). Surround yourself with experts!

It’s everything. Otherwise you’ll have no passion while trying to sell and probably eventually quit.

It’s not just self-belief, it’s self-initiation. There’s plenty of successful people walking around with impostor syndrome.
So to say, there’s lots of people who lack self-belief or confidence that are doing their thing out there. There aren’t very many people who only brought self-belief to the table and became successful. There’s an action that comes before and an action that follows confidence. You gain the confidence from doing, and that confidence fuels your next action.
An NBA player doesn’t just need to believe in himself, he needs to show up to the court every day and do what he needs to do. Even the day he starts playing in the NBA, he still might not believe in himself. That self belief will come in due time as it becomes undeniable that he’s done it. But at the beginning and in the end, he’s been doing it.
So don’t sit around waiting for magical confidence or trying to hype yourself up all day, just do what it is you need to do and trust that confidence will just grow as you do it.
