So, I just got a notice from Safeco that they are not renewing my policy. Here is the reason for non-renewal:
"Your Independent Agent no longer represents our company for the program for which you are eligible. As a result, we are unable to renew your Homeowners insurance policy."
Thoughts and recommendations on what to do next. I am in San Diego, CA.

Find a new Safeco agent and see if they can do it if you want to stay with Safeco. But maybe that’s just how Safeco is saying “we don’t write the type of program you need anymore.” Either way, it’s a good idea to find a local broker ASAP and see what they can do for you (a broker, who represents you and has access to multiple companies – not an agent, who represents the insurance company they are an agent for).
Just call Safeco directly.
Call Safeco and ask for other Producers in your area. Sign an Agent of record and you’re good.
