Active Military and stationed in MD for the next 4 years. Worth the switch from California? What are your thoughts?
Is it worth becoming a Maryland Resident over a California Resident for tax purposes?

I don’t know much about Maryland. As a CA resident stationed out of state, you wouldn’t owe CA taxes unless you have non-military, CA-source income.
While you’re assigned outside of CA you pay no California state tax. I’d wait and see what your next assignment is. Maryland is not cheap.
