Im 25 M, (first licensed at 17), my rates are terrible due to reckless driving (4 years ago), and at-fault total loss claim on a 65k vehicle 2 years ago. My rate is currently $500 a month for a 2023 70k vehicle and its hurting. On paper it makes sense that I would be a high risk for insurance and I get it. Im just wondering what are my options I can actively do to lower my premiums (besides get rid of the car). I don’t need judgement, I get it, just advice please. Thank you.

Would a defensive driving course lower my premium?
