Hello,

As the title states, our homeowners policy on our new home was cancelled as the title company sent our escrow check to the wrong PO Box.

Our agent said we have a 90 day grace period through Monarch insurance where our policy still enforced.

Agent is waiting for his accounting team to find the check as it was sent to corporate office and not his agency.

I’m just worried as storm season is approaching in FL and don’t want to have to deal with this if something/anything weee to happen.

Agents says we are covered but an I risk here?

    What are my options?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. You can always pay it directly and get a refund when the other check is found and deposited. You can also contact the title company and have them cancel the original check and send a new one (giving them written instructions where and how to send it). And if the agent didn’t put the 90 day grace period info in writing, it means nothing.
