I'm looking for ideas on different revenues I can take to start new sources of income. If you had a starting budget with about $1000, what would you do? Ecommerce? Invest in something? Or what, and why?

I’d put that money back into yourself & see what skill set you can learn or talent you can improve upon to fuel whatever it is you already do. 🖤

Hey there! With $1000 you could do quite a lot, but it does depend on your current skills, interests, and the amount of time you’re willing to put into it.

If you are inclined towards ecommerce, that could be a viable path. You could start a drop shipping business or perhaps an Etsy store if you have a knack for crafting or a particular product you love to create.

Or if you are a wizard with words, you could consider starting a blog or copywriting business. It doesn’t take a lot to monetise a blog with affiliate marketing and ad revenue, but it does take consistent work and quality content.

If you are an ardent foodie, maybe starting a food truck, or a small catering business could be up your alley.

You could dabble in the stock market, but I would recommend only doing so if you’re willing and able to thoroughly research and educate yourself about investing. $1000 could be a good way to test the waters, but it’s not guaranteed.

Remember, there isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” approach. What works for one person might not work for you. The important thing is to find something that you’re passionate and knowledgeable about. That’s the not-so-secret secret of entrepreneurship.

Whatever you choose, best of luck. Can’t wait to hear about your burgeoning empire!

So for the list you just provided I would actually advice going with e-commerce since that is more than enough capital to get a business started going on marketed quite well and make profits on it but it all comes down to what you want maybe watch your interested in and what you would like to do maybe some Passions all of that are considerations because you can’t do a business that you don’t like because generally speaking it won’t work as long as you like it it will work

Hey, I was recently listening to an episode of the Entrepreneur Experiment, it mentioned a few interesting perspectives on this. Some folks would suggest putting it towards something with high potential for return, such as Bitcoin, to try and capitalize on the growing interest in cryptocurrency. Others might advise investing it directly into a personal project or business. If you’ve got a company or an idea you’re passionate about, plowing the money into that might yield the biggest return, especially since you’d be the one most knowledgeable about where to apply it for maximum impact.

On a more personal note, blocking out external noise and focusing on what you know best can be hugely beneficial. It’s easy to get swayed by others’ opinions, but trusting your own gut and vision has been emphasized as key in the podcast. Plus, sometimes a smaller amount of money can quickly disappear in larger budgets, so being strategic and precise about its application could make all the difference.

I just bought a $1000 turbo to put in a truck. I’m a mechanic. I do this type of thing daily to make money.

    7. Training materials and fees for the platforms which I will be using to train myself.

I’d probably give flipping a go. I’ve never done it but feel like I would find it fun.

    9. For free: Get a part-time or full-time job so you have a sustainable income. Get an idea. Do some market research. Validate it by having pre-customers pay you for the idea in advance. Best validation technique. (Give them lifetime access for the amount they prepaid. (Example B2B 1000-3000, B2C 200-500)

Paid: Hire a developer and a designer on a part-time basis to start building the MVP or MSP (minimum sellable product). Build a beta website (or hire someone to do it).

Definitely a lot more involved but that is the best way to start. You have time. Use it to your advantage. Grind.

Assuming you already have a job and the $1k is extra to start something, I would probably aim for a service business. These are typically low startup cost types of businesses. I would honestly use the $1k for marketing and buying just enough to complete the first job, then use profits to reinvest in better equip and repeat.

Advice from Mark Cuban: Buy a phone and start selling.

      I’d probably do the same.
