Could I technically make an allotment for my entire month’s pay worth into my savings? So from then on I could have my entire month’s pay on the 1st of the month in one allotment, every month?
That is literally delaying half your pay. The payment is for the end of the month of work that’s already been accomplished.

I’ve been getting paid for 15 years that way. Love it. All bills come out on the first.
I originally did it when I was constantly doing 60/50 rotations (60 in country, 50 at home) because I got tired of figuring out tax free/savings/etc. Went to monthly pay, set my savings as primary, and gave myself an allotment to my checking every month.
Switched back to checking primary several years ago but you can’t go back to bi-monthly after going monthly. Wouldn’t want to go back anyway.
