For the past year and a half, I have been growing a very niche fully remote marketing business/agency for which I now provide services for three clients. It brings me in a great profit of ~$8k/month, but I am bored and done with it now. I am pretty young and I want to take the summer 'off' and then start something new in September.

The dilemma: I can leave today with no issues (no heavy-duty contracts, hard feelings, etc.) but I would be leaving $8000/month on the table!

I have heard from some people the best thing to do probably do is find someone who can 'replace' me and keep a small cut of the profit for myself while they keep the rest, but I just feel like they would not be able to keep it going as the industry is quite on/off!

    Any thoughts?

I’m making $8,000/month, but I want out. What should I do?

Don’t do it! Just hang in there until you launch something new in September. Persevering even when you’re bored will help you develop the mental and emotional stamina to persevere when you face adversity (which you most likely will, because everyone eventually does)

    2. Sell it or automate, don’t leave it if it’s in a good spot. Absolutely wasted opportunity!

    3. Ask yourself, what are all the ways you can make this interesting while still getting the summer off?

      • automate
      • outsource
      • scale
      • move them to a different service or new product offering you create
      • ? What else?

Would love to talk about a revenue share for taking care of these clients for you. Shoot me a message if you are interested

DM me if you want to onboard someone who’s been working remote at the same place for 5 years and is looking for a change … Been looking for opportunities.

Man that is so crazy. I’d say build a team and teach them how to operate the business in your absence and have it so they can reach out to you if they run into any big issues that run outside of what you taught them. After all you say the industry is on and off so you’d possibly be contacted when the industry is off.

    7. Tell me more please. What niche? Maybe I will buy it? Or we can partner somehow. Love to discuss

Hire a Virtual Assistant to do the job for you. You’ll still maintain communications with the clients.

I’d like to discuss somethings about digital marketing with you if that’s okay
