IV crush on nvda stock split

I have $1000 and want to buy a nvda call before split because I expect a stock price rise post split. I would like to buy as close to pre split time as possible to maximize the post split time. Will IV rise leading up to the split? If so then I would buy post split when IV crashes. Any info would be much appreciated
