The decision where to retire can be difficult. I was curious, how did you make this decision? How did you manage to purchase a house? Do you have any regrets or lessoned learned where you decided?

Was able to get my last assignment at Knox. My wife is from Louisville so that’s why I chose it. Stayed on post for my first year and then bought a house and got everything lined up so my transition out was smooth as possible. My only regret was not doing at bdd claim for my Va compensation when I was 6 months from getting out. Now I’m fighting the Va to get more than 40%
