Ethiopia has a rich endowment of mineral resources but its mining sector is still in the early stages. Geremew Negassa, Director of Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Ethiopia, lets us in on the government’s priorities.

    The interview talks about the CIRDI-SUMM project: a five-year project launched in April 2016 funded by Global Affairs Canada. It is designed to strengthen the capacity and organisational management of the Ministry at operational and strategic levels. More information can be found here:
