I just recently purchased a car last month( financed).First car btw. So I guess they sent a questionnaire in the mail and I believe my mother misplaced. Get an alert notification saying that my policy is getting cancelled and I hit them up to ask why . Said I didn’t reply to the letter. Mother told me the same about the paper. I do it right a way sent it in with all of the required documents. They ask me to list the other household members besides myself on the questionnaire which is my brother and mother. They want to cancel because they aren’t on my insurance, they don’t know how to and can’t drive. But they want to process to cancel still. I called saying I was just being truthful and it is a big misunderstanding as it is my first time getting a car and insurance so sorry in advance if I didn’t answer the questions correctly . Do you think they will still try to cancel my policy and hypothetically if they do can’t I just apply for coverage again with them as one of the agents said I can which seems a bit redundant to me? Help and advice Ps: age,30 and I am located in Brooklyn newyork

If you fail to provide the necessary information, underwriting can cancel/deny the policy. If they send you a request for information, you have to provide it. If they ask for the names/license status of all other household members, you need to provide it. If you don’t know how to fill out the forms, talk to your agent.
