Ghosted by Car Insurance Company Need Advice

I got into a car accident that was the other driver's fault. After two days of calls, the other driver's insurance company admitted liability. They set me up with a rental car and informed me that my car would be considered a total loss. They also told me I'd hear from them soon to discuss the settlement and next steps.

It's now been three weeks, and I haven't heard a thing. I've never received an email or a call from them during this whole process. Every conversation has been initiated by me. The car rental company has been handling the rental extensions, and they get approved so quickly that I assume it's automated.

So, should I just wait for the insurance company to call me and enjoy this rental? Is there any downside to doing that?
