I was an infantryman so not alot of translatable skills lol. But I just got my finance degree and have been job hunting but entry Level work seems extremely scarce.

I've read on here about first command and it's largely negative stigma. But from people using there services, not working for them.. they have paid training for licensing with seemingly no commitment, so I was thinking it could be a good stepping stone to make my resume more attractive. I appreciate any clarity you guys can provide.

Has anyone worked FOR First Command Financial Services?

I wouldn’t be comfortable doing affinity sales for a company that preys on military customers w questionable investment choices and a sketchy track record. I’d also wonder how that would reflect on your resume.

Have you looked into veteran on ramping and mutual support/networking groups at any of the big brokerage or finance firms? I recall at least one or two had programs to hire vets when I considered going into finance a couple years back.

Morgan Stanley has (VENG) Veterans Employee Networking Group for instance [https://www.morganstanley.com/people/experienced-professionals/veterans](https://www.morganstanley.com/people/experienced-professionals/veterans)

    2. I’ve known a few people that worked for them until they got their CFP. It depends on how you feel about doing sales and knowing your product isn’t actually the best option for most people.
