I am currently an active duty officer and my spouse is attending medical school this fall. Most military spouse educational benefits I have seen are primarily for associated degrees. Are there any resources that could help assist in his tuition or get a low interest education loan that can be transferred to him?

    1. If you have served 6 years and commit to 4 more, you can transfer your GI Bill to your spouse.

Your education center should have a list of scholarships that spouses can apply for. Places like the Aid societies, National Military Family Association, Pat Tillman Foundation, etc have scholarships.

Some schools have discounts for Military family members.

He can use FAFSA to apply for federal loans if he’s eligible.

If he’s interested in serving in the military himself, there are various programs that pay for medical school in exchange for serving.
