Hi all!

I'm currently under contract to assume a VA mortgage through NFCU. The seller has a great interest rate and I'm prepared to cover their equity to get through closing. I am however concerned about whether or not the underwriting team will push the mortgage through or not.

I currently have a credit score of approximately 717 (pulled by veterans united about a month ago), I have a stable job (three years active duty military) I've had a car loan through navy federal for approximately 2 years (never been late), and my DTI is sitting at approximately 13% BEFORE the mortgage. After I add in the sellers normal monthly payment (including taxes and homeowners insurance) my DTI would be at approximately 53%.

I know it's hard to say, but the waiting is driving me insane!

    Think I'll get approved?
