I’m not really sure which option would be better for me right now. I ship out later in August. My dad was thinking about adding me as an authorized user on his Amex Platinum card, so that I could enjoy some of its perks while I’m on vacation in July. Are there any drawbacks to receiving the card now rather than later?
Should my father put me as an authorized user on his Amex Platinum or should I wait until after bootcamp to apply for the card?

Honestly, you should just be made an authorized user. You will get the perks but not have the obligation to pay the $700 annual fee. Also if you don’t have any Credit Cards you should just be made an authorized user while you are at bootcamp. Just earn the good credit score through your dad’s score. Less hassle and responsibility while your at BC
