Hey all, I am eligible for the the BRS continuation pay however I have a question about the service requirement. I reenlisted in January for 5 years which will take me to 13 years of service by the end. I know the BRS continuation pay includes a 4 year service extension, so my question is does this get added on to the end of my current contract?

From what I understand, your obligated service for accepting BRS continuation pay runs concurrently. So you would not have to add four more years on top of your current enlistment. The required years for the bonus would elapse at your 12 year mark, and your enlistment would be up at 13 years.
