Hello,

I completed the deposit for the Post 56 Military Buy Back in 2012 and retired from the Dept of the Army on 31 DEC 23. I had completed ~6 years of AD time from an initial enlistment (3 years) and mobilization tours while in the Reserves. Although my deposit included Annual Training time – the Army Benefits Center rejected those dates and pointed me to an OPM Reg that stated these wouldn't be accepted.

My CRITICAL issue is that OPM is refusing to acknowledge the active duty days that ABC does recognize and this is 5 years and 5 months that are now no longer considered part of my FERS retirement. OPM's own website states that I can receive both an Army Reserve Retirement and FERS Retirement. file:///C:/Users/rowen/Desktop/OPM/OPM%20Federal%20Retirement%20Webpage.htm

I've messaged the head of the OPM Retirement Services Division, logged an OPM IG Complaint, will contact my Senator's office today.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated as this reduced my retirement considerably and moved me to less than 20 years of service so am no longer eligible for the supplement.

    Thanks!
