Hey everyone was wondering if I can claim my wife as a dependent if she works full time? Getting ready for basic and was told you can receive BAH while in basic.
However when I look things up online I’m seeing they can’t make more then about $5,000 and am wondering is this different for military spouses.
Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks.

A spouse or child is always a dependent unless they are also active duty.
You might be looking at the definition of a tax dependent which is a totally different thing.
