Curious if others have done this. I drove to my next duty station and I flew my dependents out with personally procured tickets to allow more flexibility with scheduling (OS -> CONUS). I’m now hearing I was supposed to utilize SATO to schedule my tickets. Am I SOL on being reimbursed?

Yes. 0 chance you’ll get reimbursed.
I would say it will be an uphill battle – but at least ask the question.
SOL, personally procured travel requires explicit authorization on your orders
Oh man. I’m sorry to hear this. Ridiculous if they won’t reimburse you at whatever rate they would have paid and have you pay whatever’s left (if it was more.)
