I looked it up and couldn't find a conclusive answer. I am guard and receiving 60% benefits from the Post 9/11 due to my active service.

My wife (civilian) and I are currently both enrolled in an online accredited university. I know that the GI bill will cover my entire tuition, but from what I read it seems like I would have to "transfer" my GI bill to her for her to use it?

Does transferring it to her mean I would not be able to use it for the time being? Are we able to both use my GI bill for our classes? Also, would we both receive the monthly housing allowance, or just me?

Can my wife (civilian) & I use my GI bill benefits at the same time?

You must meet the minimum service obligation plus additional service time to transfer to spouse. You transfer from 1-36 months to her (edit: which reduces the number of months you have available on a 1:1 basis), which can be used concurrently. However, I don’t think both of you will qualify for the housing allowance.

VA website about transferring Post 9/11 benefits: https://www.va.gov/education/transfer-post-9-11-gi-bill-benefits/

At bottom of page has links to each branch of services policy.
