NVDA is so cute trying to pretend they are still not selling chips to China.

My favorite is the earnings call after the ban when sales to China dropped 4B but sales to Iran increased 4B.

This news and the news that Harris is not tough on tech from being a California senator makes for a bullish case

For all my fellow degens out there, I will put you in context:

Despite US export restrictions, Nvidia’s AI GPUs are being smuggled into China through an underground network.

70+ big distributors openly advertise these restricted chips online, promising quick deliveries. The smuggling involves couriers like a Chinese student who brought Nvidia A100 GPUs from Singapore, bypassing customs by under-declaring their value.

High demand for Nvidia, fuels this black market. Chinese research institutions and tech startups are primary buyers, obtaining the GPUs through various means including excess stock from US companies and local brokers handling logistics. These GPUs are sold at high prices due to their uniqueness.

There is a cool podcast I recently heard where they interview first hand Chinese people about this. Such an interesting story.

This all means, hopefully a bigger market share.

    4. Dumbass c-suites thinking that China isn’t going to steal that tech so fucking fast.

      Those BYDs sure resemble teslas
