I'm getting out in March but got accepted for skillbridge and will be attending remotely in September.
I'm struggling deciding whether to stay near base(California) where I live with a friend and his wife, rent is $850 in total for a bedroom.
The other option would be moving in with my parents(California) and siblings, I'd pay my parents $300 for rent for the remainder 6 months while I stay in their guest bedroom.
I'd essentially be working from home doing schoolwork for 6 months.

I'm having to exchange privacy and independence for going back to my parents.

So either stay near base and have privacy ; or go back home to save $500 a month to live with my parents in a house full of siblings?

Not sure where I'm going after I officially separate; but it wount be anywhere near my home state.

I can't decide what to do. Any suggestions or opinions?

Edit: I'll still be on the navy payroll and getting bah until March.

Stay near base or move out with parents to save money?

I’d rather get into a gunfight with John Wick than live with my parents again

    2. From a financial stand point it’d be a no brainer to save more money. But ther *personal* part of personal finance says there are other factors like your own well being that might make living back at home a terrible option. Only you can decide if it’s worth that amount of money.

To help decide, think about if you’d pay $500/mo to not live at home
