Coast guard here. My station put me in TLA for the next three weeks, so I'm getting perdiem for lodging and MI&E. I am told that I do not get the difference for lodging if it costs less than what I am authorized.
Is this the same for MI&E? and will I have to include all meals in my voucher? Cant seem to find anything covering this in the JTR. Thanks to anyone with solid answers.

Meals and incidentals are a set rate and you do not need to provide receipts.
Set up rewards accounts for Marriot, Hilton, and Hyat. Then pick something as close to your local DTS lodging limit. YMMV by service branch.
