Marine Corps

So I re-enlisted from the reserves into active duty and I do not plan on moving. I am on recruiting aide until I check into my unit and they think I am moving across the state to my new duty station. I am getting paid a nice check in dislocation allowance and per diem.

I do not plan on packing up my entire 3 bedroom home for me and my family just to get weighed. Am I totally screwed? Any advice on how to get the money and not have any of the paperwork?

Nothing on my PPM (DITY). Am I totally screwed out of money?

Not too sure the full details but, no paperwork = no money. Why would they pay you if you aren’t actually moving? Are you planning on a long commute each day or just moving yourself?

You’ll get the auto stuff, I imagine (DLA, and pet allowance; which is probably it, since you aren’t actually moving).

I dont see how you’re getting screwed. You’re trying to get paid for something you didn’t actually do.

      There’s a word for that. Starts with a F.
