I’m currently in the GA Air National Guard, and I used the ch 1606 MGIB throughout my undergrad. I’m starting Law School in the fall, and my cert of eligibility says that I have 12 months of benefits left “at the full time institutional rate”.
The law school program I’m attending is a part time program where I take classes in the evenings, totaling to around 11 credit hours per semester. I understand that my GI Bill monthly payments will be reduced since I’m only enrolled part time.
My question is: If I’m attending part time classes, will I still lose a full month of eligibility for every month I attend, or will they also prorate the eligibility I use up similar to how they prorate what I’m paid?

No, both your pay and entitlement is per the Rate of Training. So if your rate of training is 1/2 time for a 4 month semester, you only use up 2 months of entitlement
