I’m a brand new LT with student debt, I want to buy property but I’m also trying to not increase my debt like crazy
Is there any good strategies I should use? Wait till student debt is paid off? Buy a complex? Buy a house?

Every home purchase we made during my career, we would have been better renting except for one. Our last home. Once i knew where we were retiring. We bought two years before retiring with orders in hand. This was a career that spanned over 20 years over many PCS moves. No matter what the military says about homesteading they always seemed to have us move. Never on a set 36 month schedule.

This covering the dot com boom. Great financial crisis. Into covid. Etc.

After 15 ish years we gave up trying to buy and just rented and it worked so much better financially.

If i could recommend anything, max yoyr retirement accounts. Anything else in taxable savings per your desired asset allocation and rent until you know where you are settling.
