Hey everyone, I’m reserves and deploying in the near future. I’m trying to plan my bills accordingly. I’ve never had BAH up until now I will be eligible once on Orders. I know the very basic info on BAH. I know it’s based on Zip code. For an example let’s just say I get $1500 for BAH. Will I get $1500 once a month or would I get $3000 a month? If not do they spilt the $1500 into half payments? Like $750 on the 1st then the other $750 on the 15th. If someone could clarify I would greatly appreciate it.

It’s per month, so $1500 total.

You’ll get paid approximately half your month’s pay on the mid-month pay date, to include your basic pay and BAS (if applicable). At the end of month pay date, you’ll get the remainder of your month’s pay, which may be more or less than the mid-month pay if the estimate was off. The mid-month pay won’t have a BAH line item, just an amount, but nothing stops you from using that for rent.
