If I get married to my fiance while I am living in Alabama and he is stationed in Hawaii, he will get BAH based on my Alabama zipcode, right? How would that BAH change to reflect the Hawaii cost of living once I move there in 2025, or what is the process/paperwork needed? his home state is Alabama. We want to find a place to live before I move to Hawaii but he wouldn't be able to afford it on Alabama BAH. Would it be better to wait until I am moved to Hawaii, and if so, i still don't know how to get the BAH to reflect Hawaii either way.. since I need to live in Hawaii for him to get Hawaii BAH and we need Hawaii BAH to live in Hawaii…

    1. Where you live isn’t an issue to military unless he’s in an OHA area on unaccompanied orders. Hell get Hawaii BAH period when married. If he lives in barracks he’ll get bah once he is married and moves out.

    2. No. He’ll get the BAH for where he is stationed. Your location is irrelevant unless he’s sent somewhere you can’t follow. Like some Korean bases.
