I know that MSRRA will apply to my spouse, but my question is does my spouse have to go become an actual resident of my state? Or can she just claim her residency as mine on her employment docs? If she has to become a legal resident of my state does she just call the DMV?

Just claim it for tax purposes.
Don’t need to get new IDs, don’t need to reregister cans (insurance needs to be for the location you live though), she doesn’t even need to even step foot in the state.
She can choose to maintain current residency, adopt your state of residency or adopt residency in the location y’all live.
