Hey everyone,

Was curious to hear about people’s results doing either 0DTE or swing trading with options. Do you have a favorite?

Still learning both and I want to become better at them. For swing trades I have heard of kelter channels being a good indicator and when I back test they seem pretty solid for indicating reversal on the daily. I’ve heard a similar analysis can be done with indexes during intraday using the 5 and 1 minute, but when I back test it is not as reliable for overall trend.

I’d love to hear about your 2 cents and if you have any indicators you use for either.

Scalping using the SPX 0DTE option credit spread verticals Bollinger bands , Keltner together with TTMsqueeze , pivots and a few MA’s

    2. I have not met a successful 0DTE trader who wasn’t a quant.

Most of the successful option traders I see are swing traders or vol traders.

I like to sell odte options using spreads.

My favorite (not really) is the gamma bomb. Open the credit spread near to or in the money on SPX a minute or less before close. Let it expire. It either blew up in your face, or you walked away a winner.

I usually open a bit earlier.

I buy SPX 0DTE options during power hour.

My account is currently at -85% but I’m finding my edge.

I have mixed results with 0dte but do good. The swings I do with a group hit way more. You just have to wait on a swing though. They have helped a lot since they do live sessions and challenge accounts. I made 8k this month so doing good with swings.
