Hello, 2 days ago I was in an accident which totaled my car. I have dash cam footage of the accident and the officer told me that I wasn’t at fault for the accident. I have filed claims with both my insurance and the other drivers, but have been told that she hasn’t filed anything yet. I desperately need to return to work or I’ll lose my job, but my insurance won’t provide me a rental because I don’t have collision coverage and the other driver’s insurance says they won’t until they complete their investigation. If I am not able to return to work Monday I will likely lose my job. Should I go ahead and get a lawyer to potentially speed the process along?

Getting a lawyer wouldn’t speed up the process. It would grind it to a halt.

The only thing you can do is wait. They need to speak to their insured before they extend coverage. You’ll just have to catch a ride with a coworker or uber to work.
