Hello everyone (posting from Canada), I recently got into a fender bender for the first time (other driver at fault) and I have some questions regarding write offs. Please note all the damage is cosmetic, as far as I know, and I have been driving it perfectly fine since the accident.
Although the decision has not been made yet by my adjuster, I am preparing for the worst.
I am extremely desperate to keep my car as it means a lot to me and currently in my life I can not afford to lose it.
Is there any way to reject a write off outright? (I have done some research on negotiating processes and such but I’m talking straight out rejection. Do I have that right?) Can I choose to pay for my car repairs entirely and decline any offers from insurance?
Am I able to cancel the claim once such a decision is passed?
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I can answer for a lot of US states, but I really don’t know anything about Canadian territories. What territory are you in?

Leaving a comment to boost your post and hopefully get visibility to a Canadian adjuster.
